Previous exercise: β ð ɣ tʃ ɾ
Next exercise: All basic Spanish IPA symbols

Typing Spanish IPA 4: ɲ ʝ

To type ɲ ʝ, hold the left Option key (Left Ctrl + Alt on Windows) while you press the H J keys with your right hand. Why is ɲ typed with Option H and not Option N? Because Option N is already taken for ñ. This might help you remember the key combination: in Portuguese the ɲ sound is spelled "nh", as in "Espanha".

Tip: On macOS you can assign your Caps Lock key as another Option key. This way you'll only have to slide your left pinky to the left to hit "Option". To change this go to System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts → Modifier Keys.
