    About Spanish Input

    Picture
Hi! I'm Miguel, a Spanish language teacher. If you want to reach fluency in Spanish, the main thing you must do is: Get lots of Input. Read a lot, listen a lot and watch a lot. However, it's very important that the input you get is comprehensible. Otherwise, it's just noise.

The stories on this website have been written using high-frequency word forms. Level 1 stories adhere to a list of the top 5,000 word forms, and level 2 stories stick to a list of the top 10,000 word forms. Any word outside each list is highlighted in bold so you're aware that you don't need to learn it right now.

The percentage of new words (words outside each list) has been kept at 2% or below. This 98% comprehension level is ideal for smooth reading, as it allows you to guess the meaning of unknown words.

I write these stories for free for my students. If you like them, please subscribe to the Spanish Input channel on YouTube.
